Owner, Jim Askew, knew he had to have faith in order to open his own flooring store in March 2003. Although apprehensive about the risks often involved with opening a new business, Jim believed it was God’s plan for his family to make this career change following his 9/11 layoff from working with fuel farms in aviation. Faith is so important that we had to include it in our sign explains Jim. Our motto is, “You’ve got to have faith.”
Upon graduation from Texas A&M with a degree in Construction Science in 1988, Jim worked as a homebuilder in Houston for several years before joining Exxon Corporation.
With a background in homebuilding, Jim knows the construction process from start to finish, so he works well with builders.
