We are exceptionally proud of our staff here at Faith Floors & More. We know that above all else, it’s people that determine whether or not businesses are successful. We believe that we’ve put together a great team of people to help serve all of your flooring and home remodeling needs. Feel free to take a moment to meet our staff below.
Jim Askew, Owner
Owner, Jim Askew, knew he had to have faith in order to open his own flooring store in March 2003. Although apprehensive about the risks often involved with opening a new business, Jim believed it was God’s plan for his family to make this career change following his 9/11 layoff from working in the aviation industry in fueling operations. Faith is so important that we had to include it in our sign explains Jim. Our motto is, “You’ve got to have faith.”
Upon graduation from Texas A&M with a degree in Construction Science in 1988, Jim worked as a home builder in Houston for several years before joining Exxon Corporation.
With a background in home building, Jim knows the construction process from start to finish, and is well versed in remodeling.
Jeremy Hilland joined Faith Floors in July 2004 and has been our Office Manager almost since the beginning. With a background in accounting, he takes care of all our day-to-day accounting needs. Jeremy assists Jim with running the office, scheduling, ordering materials, estimating, sales, and installation when needed.
Upon graduation from Texas A&M with a degree in Accounting in 1995, Jeremy worked as an accountant and an auditor for 3 years at First American Bank. Jeremy attended the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Hyde Park, NY in 1998 and became a personal chef for a family for 5 years prior to joining Faith Floors & More.
Jon Cook has worked in mortgage servicing in Dallas for 25 years before moving back to the College Station area. Jon assists the office manager and helps customers on the sales floor. Jon graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and is an outdoorsman who enjoys camping and hunting.
Joseph Anderson joined Faith Floors in May 2014. He worked in the field as a “Jack of all trades” punch list repairman for his first year, but has now transitioned into the office performing sales, estimating, ordering materials and warehouse management. Prior to working at Faith Floors Joseph worked in sales with Northwestern Mutual doing financial planning and insurance. He is a Texas A&M graduate and has lived in the BCS since 2009. His future plans after Faith Floors are to be an overseas missionary sharing the Gospel with people who have never heard about Jesus Christ before.
Foster has worked with us since August of 2019. He will often be the first person our customers meet as he serves them by managing our showrooms, helping make selections, and assisting our in-house contractors with job management and customer relations. He is a Texas A&M graduate and has lived in the Bryan-College Station area since 2014.
